Interview With Ashley Heidbreder
What is your major? Year in school?
Her name is Ashley Heidbreder. She is a junior Forensic Biology major. She is the Go Core leader for NCF.
What made you decide to go to ONU?
Ashley is from North Carolina but was born in Canton, Ohio. She was looking for schools in Ohio. She found ONU because it has a good forensic biology program.
What made you join NCF originally?
She wanted to find a community of Christians to better grow her faith because she didn’t feel her belief was very strong prior to college. She found this community in NCF.
What do you love about NCF?
“What don’t I love?” She loves having multiple different opportunities to participate in NCF. NCF has fusion which is a large gathering that anyone can come to. There are the bible studies which is a smaller-knit community where you can create connections on a personal and spiritual level with other people on campus. There is also discipleship, which is a one-on-one connection, where you can create really close friends and also a great way to connect better with God. Also, she loves all the events that NCF hosts, where they go out and help the community, come together in fellowship and hang out with one another.
What made you seek out leadership in NCF?
Wanted to get more involved because of all NCF has done for me. Wanted to see how she can help serve the community and serve God and help others experience what she has.
What is the most important takeaway from NCF?
“God is good.”
What would you say to people who are on the fence about joining NCF?
“Come in and try it out.” They have many people who are willing to get to know you and support you. They want to help you become the best person you can be in God’s plan.
