The Brotherhood
As the semester is coming to an end, I want to reflect on how good this semester has been for me. I’ve been enjoying my college life so far, making a lot of new friends, and most importantly getting used to not being at home. Being away from home gets tough sometimes, but I enjoy every moment I have in school and with all my friends. When I first attended ONU, I was very closed-minded about being in the country and surrounded by a bunch of cornfields. I hated it, but as I got through each semester, I realized that I only make my college experience fun by what I put into the experience. That’s when I started to go out more, became more social in my classes, and joined a fraternity.
My fraternity brothers have been the main factor in my college experience going well. Meeting these guys has been a true blessing, it’s never a dull moment with my boys. I never thought I would see myself even being interested in Greek Life, especially living in a house with 18 of them. The best part about living in the house is understanding each brother’s personality and creating a special bond with that brother in the house. We are a brotherhood, that’s our main code in this house, so whenever one of the brothers has something going on or needs someone to talk to through tough times, there’s always someone in this house that can help and guide that brother who is struggling with some issues. My mom has met every brother in the house, and she absolutely loves them. Once you get tight with my mom, you automatically become family and that’s what this brotherhood is about, family.
