Instagram is a social media platform millions of people use daily. Some might argue that the app is the best overall social media platform created. Have you ever thought about creating a business page to promote content or your personal business? There are currently over a billion accounts on Instagram. Instagram was created on October 6, 2010, by Kevin Systrom. As technology gets more and more advanced, so do social media platforms. The way Instagram works is you create a public or private page and post different videos and pictures on your page. People can like, comment, and share your posts. Instagram works similarly to Twitter, except the only big difference between the two is Twitter is more of a blogging platform that limits the number of texts you can use on a post versus Instagram where the app is used for pictures and videos. Both platforms are great to use daily, but when it comes to creating a business and promoting content, Instagram is the superior application to use, and here is why. 

Instagram developed features on their app that allow you to create business pages strictly for your business and the content you would like to promote. In 2020, Instagram created a feature that allowed you to turn your page into a business account and in your bio, it will tell others across the world what type of business page you have. For example, if you are a music producer, you can set up your account to where it will put "Producer" in your bio for business purposes. With this new feature, you also access your business insights. The insights will tell you how many people visited your page, the number of interactions you get on post, and much more. For the entrepreneurs out there, you can also set up an Instagram shop, which allows people to shop directly from your website. Overall, Instagram’s advanced features make it easier to promote business on your page, creating a buzz for billions of people around the world.
